This Workshop was organized in SEAMEO CELLL in Ho chi Minh, Vietnam. Facilitated by Dr. Walter Baeten the Project Consultant of SEAMEO CELLL. Two days workshop to introduce the methodology underlying the Instructional Resource Package of the Training Manual of Soft Skills for Non-formal Education, review the Instructional Resource Package through practice sessions and improved experience in teaching soft skills to adult learners.
The Facilitator Manual had developed by the Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA). The Training Manual has been translated into the Khmer, Lao and Vietnamese languages; some training workshops have been delivered in Cambodia and Lao PDR and the following concerns have been raised such as the contains complicated, developing lesson plans is time-consuming. SEAMEO CELLL proposed a working paper to seek the support for pilot use of the Training Manual in interested SEAMEO member countries and encourage translation of the material into their respective languages.
The final session of the workshop come with the suggestion from the participants from Cambodia, Lao and Vietnam as follow: add more Video related to the topic, case study, some additional methodology and technique for training in difference situation.
