In accordance with a ministerial agreement and instruction on cooperation and the use of shared resources between the Department of Non-formal Education (DNFE) and the Department of Technical Vocational Education (DTVE), the two departments collaborated to organize a training program from October 11-14, 2023, in Feuang District, Vientiane Province. The training program was supported by dvv international and the Vientiane Provincial Education and Sports Office.
The training program was attended by 22 villagers from five villages who were interested in learning about food processing. The purpose of the training program was to lead the implementation of activities in the form of cooperation and joint use of shared resources between DNFE and DTVE.
The objectives of the training program were to:
- Provide administrators of non-formal education in the province, district, centers, and technical college with lessons learned on the advantages and disadvantages of joint implementation of cooperation and use of shared resources in the past.
- Support the needs of the target group of 22 villagers by providing them with basic skills in food processing, which will increase their chances of finding jobs at tourist river sides.
The training program was a success, and the participants gained valuable knowledge and skills. The cooperation between DNFE and DTVE is a positive example of how government agencies can work together to improve the lives of their citizens.
