The two volunteers of ASA Basis Program arrived Laos on the first week of August through cooperation between DVV International and Department of Non-formal Education, Ministry of Education and Sports. The time of implementation of the internship is for three-month project and will take place between beginning of August until end of October.
The goals of the ASA internships:
- Training English language
- Training methods of teaching in Non-formal Education, developing hand-outs, conceptualizing English language training for various target groups, to facilitating trainings.
Department of Non-formal Education is the partner organization in the host country to be possible for supervision the interns, and agreed to cooperate with ASA program:
- Appointing a contact person from department as a mentor for ASA internship.
- Helping them with their application visa for the period of the internship.
- Ensuring the adequate working conditions necessary for the implementation of the internships.
On the 9 August they are introduced in DNFE and Non-Formal-Education Development Center by the director general of DVV International.
